I can't seem to find a way to make the integrated lucidworks UI to serve local files when the user clicks on a search result.  For LucidWorkds Enterprise 1.x the option appears to be serve_local_files but I can't find any analogous option in 2.x.

Right now when I click on a search result it just shows all the fields and their respecitve values.

This feature has been turned off, due to security problems.

Is there a way to reenable; I'm on a private network so there are no security concerns.

It is removed from the code. The search feature in LucidWorks is intended for troubleshooting, not as an end-user tool

I have not done this, but it should be possible to install a web server that acts as a file directory, then crawl the web server from LucidWorks. The Xampp project is a nice binary distribution of Apache:

It's more than just "security" per se... it's also that in versions of LWE to-date the content was indexed but not fully stored/cached and thus to dispaly it to the end user it required fetching it back from the file system... from the UI tier.  The UI tier is not necessarily the same server as the LWE core that indexed documents.  For example, the server could have indexed /user/bob/document.txt, but that same path on the UI tier is a totally different file.  In the upcoming release, I believe there is document contents storage possible thus making it possible to retrieve the document contents from the LWE core server.
