The LucidWorks search platform is now available as a service.
LucidWorks Cloud is our first rich Search as a Service offering. This is a significant addition to the LucidWorks family of products, joining LucidWorks Enterprise to give you the choice of on-premise or cloud operation of this cutting-edge search platform.
It offers essentially the same functionality as LucidWorks Enterprise, built on the same Apache Lucene/Solr open source technology—proven in demanding large-scale enterprise environments, as well as in some of the most innovative large-scale sites on the Internet.
You don't need to be familiar with Solr in order to build search applications with LucidWorks Cloud.
Along with a complete Solr 4.x release that supports all of Solr's APIs and integration points, it adds powerful features developed by Lucid Imagination to make building and fine-tuning search applications faster and easier than ever before.
