Exploring the Lucid Query Parser - featured in LucidWorks Enterprise

Relevant, accurate search starts with understanding what the user is looking for and translating that into a meaningful query for the search engine to fetch. This is the job of the query parser and is key for maximizing findability.

Join us for a 30-minute hands-on demonstration of the Lucid Query Parser, the enhanced parser included with LucidWorks Enterprise. The Lucid Query Parser is a full featured replacement for the existing Apache Lucene, DisMax and eDisMax query parsers and can support queries of any format. This enhanced tool extracts more information from a given query to improve the quality of returned results, improving findability and the user experience.

Join Eran Yaniv as he discusses the differences between the parsers and when to make choices between parsers. Learn how you can take advantage of the smart defaults that are built into the Lucid Query Parser. In addition, we’ll cover

  • range searches
  • relational operators
  • bigram relevancy boosting
  • proximity operators
  • fuzzy queries
  • special cases
