The problem
Unstructured text-based information—documents, web pages, product descriptions, email messages, text associated with multimedia—continues to grow exponentially. We believe the ability to effectively search such information is the dominant information challenge of our time.
While effective search of the Internet is today available, significant challenges remain in being able to search more specialized text-based collections specific (or private) to an organization, product or application, including text-based data residing in traditional databases.

Our product is a platform for easily building fast, customizable, low overhead, affordable, highly scalable and very accurate search applications for use in online or other products and as intranet /extranet search tools for organizations. The product can be used for small applications or to power billion-plus document systems for large organizations.

We are also committed to providing the customer-focused support and consulting services needed to make our clients successful, and offer these services both to our product customers and to those who are direct users of the open source versions of Lucene/Solr.
